A fantastic collector’s item for enthusiasts of midcentury modern – a Tobia Scarpa designed Murano “occhi” brown and clear blown glass vessel for Venini of Italy. Original product on bottom. Murrine derives from the technique used in the production process. Circa 1950s-1960s. Tobia Scarpa graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Venice in 1969. Since then, he has worked both in the fields of design and in architecture and restoration, creating numerous works in collaboration with Afra Bianchin. With her, he also approached the world of glass, and joined VENINI in 1958. Throughout his career, he has received several awards and distinctions and some of his works are exhibited in the most important museums worldwide. Since 2000, he has been lecturing at the Faculty of Industrial design at ClaDIS in Venice. From a private collection. Dimensions: 5.5”h x 5.5” dia. In very good vintage condition. In most cases parcels are shipped out in 1-3 days and delivered in 3-5 days. Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 1-10 weeks depending on location. We have freight shipments delivered to the East Coast every 1-2 weeks, and to the West Coast every 3- 5 weeks. All delivery dates provided by us are estimates, and all freight deliveries are fulfilled by third party companies. The shipping company we book your delivery with will contact you directly to schedule delivery.
While damage in transit is rare, if you receive a damaged item, please retain all packing materials and notify us as soon as possible. We would be happy to facilitate an insurance claim to reimburse you for the cost of repair; or to accept a return for a full refund.
