Description

A whimsical and nostalgic mixed media on board by Francois of Paris. Signed on the top left. A big eyed boy holds balloons which are collaged with vintage French newsprint. Retro hues of orange and brown make a marvelous composition. Francois was under the influence of Margaret Keane, who achieved a certain reputation as an artist in the mid-20th century because of the "big eye" subject matter. Many big-eyed prints exist, but a one-of-a-kind painting is a rare find. Dimensions: 17.5"w x 1.5"d x 21.5"h (framed). In very good vintage condition.

While damage in transit is rare, if you receive a damaged item, please retain all packing materials and notify us as soon as possible. We would be happy to facilitate an insurance claim to reimburse you for the cost of repair; or to accept a return for a full refund.
