A surreal mixed-media painting on paper, titled The Spectatress – Female Beholds, by contemporary artist Lara Dann. Signed on front bottom right and titled/signed/dated on verso. Created in 2010. There is a certain delicacy found in the swirling colors that is juxtaposed with the powerful female portrait. This painting was from the private collection of a curator and gallery owner from Los Angeles, who has a collection of artworks ranging from Barry McGee to Picasso. Purchased directly from the artist in 2010. Dimensions: 11h x 8.5w (unframed). In excellent condition.
Lara Dann is a talented pop surrealist American artist who creates amazing paintings that depict fantastical figures in the midst of contrasting themes – such as light and dark, lust and innocence, knowledge and naivete. Her work is inspired by vintage and antique wallpaper tapestry which is featured in most of her underlying work. She is showcased in various galleries and collections throughout the United States.

We ship world-wide and quote through USPS, FedEx, UPS, DHL, GPX, and with multiple domestic and international freight shipping companies to get you the best price on delivery, and we offer free pick-up for anyone who wants to handle their own delivery.
In most cases parcels are shipped out in 1-3 days and delivered in 3-5 days. Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 1-10 weeks depending on location. We have freight shipments delivered to the East Coast every 1-2 weeks, and to the West Coast every 3- 5 weeks. All delivery dates provided by us are estimates, and all freight deliveries are fulfilled by third party companies. The shipping company we book your delivery with will contact you directly to schedule delivery.
While damage in transit is rare, if you receive a damaged item, please retain all packing materials and notify us as soon as possible. We would be happy to facilitate an insurance claim to reimburse you for the cost of repair; or to accept a return for a full refund.
