A stunning textural carved painting of a European village by French artist Jean-Claude Gaugy. Created July 20, 1974 which is documented on the verso. Dimensions: 23.75h x 32w (framed). In excellent vintage condition.
Jean-Claude Gaugy (1944- ) is a contemporary French artist known for his painted relief sculptures of crystalline abstractions of figures, landscapes, and still lifes. Gaugy works within the traditions of early European Modernist painters such as Paul Klee and Georges Braque, referring to his work as Linear Expressionism. His clients include the Rockefeller Foundation, The Hermitage Museum, The Hirshorn, and Smithsonian Institute, and he created a 30 foot mural at the National Building Museum in Washington D.C.

In most cases parcels are shipped out in 1-3 days and delivered in 3-5 days. Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 1-10 weeks depending on location. We have freight shipments delivered to the East Coast every 1-2 weeks, and to the West Coast every 3- 5 weeks. All delivery dates provided by us are estimates, and all freight deliveries are fulfilled by third party companies. The shipping company we book your delivery with will contact you directly to schedule delivery.
While damage in transit is rare, if you receive a damaged item, please retain all packing materials and notify us as soon as possible. We would be happy to facilitate an insurance claim to reimburse you for the cost of repair; or to accept a return for a full refund.
