This is an incredible example of one of his wall-hanging structurist reliefs similar to his artwork in Hart Plaza, Detroit titled Transcending. According to the artist, the “realities” that propel our natural universe are now understood to be essentially invisible. As an artist, I choose to explore those invisible realities intellectually, emotionally, and intuitively…as a sensor, a conduit, and a transformer of those experiences into a new, visible expression. In order to translate the organizing processes of nature, I have developed a constructive visual vocabulary of color/form/light/space/time, a metaphor for the shifting relationships that comprise “reality.” Dimensions: 45.5"w x 9.5"d x 47.5"h. David Barr (1939-2015) was the of founder of Michigan Legacy Art Park. David’s career was an artist, instructor, author and global thinker has crossed borders around the world, bringing people and ideas together. Throughout his career, Barr completed numerous sculptural commissions at sites around the world including the iconic tribute to the auto industry, Transcending at Hart Plaza in Detroit, a marble monument to astronomer Galileo at Town Hall in Pisa, Italy, and two gear-inspired companion sculptures,Revolution I and II, at the Chrysler European Headquarters in Brussels and the Chrysler World Headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan. His work is housed in various collections and institutions across the United States including the AT&T Corporate Collection, Chicago, the Atlantic-Richfield Company, Los Angeles, the Detroit Institute of Arts, the Portland Art Museum and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

We ship world-wide and quote through USPS, FedEx, UPS, DHL, GPX, and with multiple domestic and international freight shipping companies to get you the best price on delivery, and we offer free pick-up for anyone who wants to handle their own delivery.
In most cases parcels are shipped out in 1-3 days and delivered in 3-5 days. Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 1-10 weeks depending on location. We have freight shipments delivered to the East Coast every 1-2 weeks, and to the West Coast every 3- 5 weeks. All delivery dates provided by us are estimates, and all freight deliveries are fulfilled by third party companies. The shipping company we book your delivery with will contact you directly to schedule delivery.
While damage in transit is rare, if you receive a damaged item, please retain all packing materials and notify us as soon as possible. We would be happy to facilitate an insurance claim to reimburse you for the cost of repair; or to accept a return for a full refund.
